IMT Recruitment website updated for 2022
The IMT recruitment website has just had an update of information to be relevant to 2022 recruitment. Additionally, we have published the Applicants’ Guide for round 1, which can be downloaded from the document library.
The website has detailed information to help you throughout the process, whilst the guide gives a summary to IMT recruitment and is a good starting point for those who want an overview first.
If you cannot find the answer to a query, we have published lots of FAQs to answer the most common queries but if you need further help please contact us by submitting a query - https://lasepgmdesupport.hee.nhs.uk/support/home.
Interviews and dates
In 2021 recruitment interviews reverted to an online process due to the COVID-19 pandemic and this will continue in 2022. Interviews had to be cancelled in 2021 due to the worsening public health situation and applications scored via a contingency process. Whilst we do not believe interviews will need to be cancelled again, a contingency method will be in place to guard against a significant deterioration in the pandemic. The assessment methods page of the website has summary information about how applications will be assessed and the contingency plan.
Round 1 interview dates will take place throughout period between 17 January and 18 February, the exact dates will be published to the dates & posts section of the website.
Provisional programme numbers have been published to the dates & posts section of the website.
The application scoring system has been kept very similar to 2021. There has been a full review of all domains and some larger changes have been agreed but will not come into force until 2023 recruitment. An update on this will be published by the end of 2021 so prospective applicants can plan their activities accordingly; a news item will confirm when this is available.
A decision on whether to hold a second round will be made in December once applications have closed for round 1. A news item will confirm whether or not a second round is planned once a decision is made.
