Who you need to contact will vary depending on: the area of the United Kingdom to which you have applied, the nature of your query, and the stage that an application has reached.

General IMT queries

In most cases queries should be submitted to the Physician Specialty Recruitment Office (PSRO) helpdesk.

This includes queries about eligibility, making an application, using the Oriel system or any other general queries about the process.

Additional application documentation/information

If you need to send any documentation or information separately to your application (e.g. Fitness to Practise information) you should also submit this via the Physician Specialty Recruitment Office (PSRO) helpdesk. The PSRO will direct this to the region which will be assessing your application.

Progress of an application

For queries relating to the progress of your application, this will vary depending on the stage your application has reached. In general this will be the PSRO but there are certain situations where you will need to contact one of the regional teams:

  • Eligibility checking - applications will be allocated to one of the regional teams to check for eligibility. If you are asked to supply something this should go direct to the region assessing your application; although if in doubt you can send to the PSRO.
  • Attending interview - once you are booked onto an interview you will need to direct any queries about attending to the region hosting the centre.
  • Information about the region/programme - if you want additional information about the IMT programme within a region you will need to direct these to the relevant region.

Raising concerns

If you have concerns about the recruitment process that fall outside of the national complaints policy, you are able to raise your concerns confidentially by email to [email protected]
